General Electric (GE) is an American multinational conglomerate corporation. A broad set of technologies deployed by Energy Integrated Solutions have been installed in a number of GE facilities. In this example, the EIS team worked with personnel at an appliance manufacturing site – GE’s Roper Energy stove manufacturing plant – located in Lafayette, Georgia. Completed in the mid 2000’s, the results to date have been outstanding, exceeding the promised savings level and addressing a host of operational and energy related challenges.
This facility is a large, 1,200,000 sq ft manufacturing plant.
Total Energy Cost Reduction: 21% 10.1%
Payback Period: 11 mos 27 mos
The two graphs depict the breakdown of load group energy usage, and the projected savings from each group, totaling the originally estimated 10.1% reduction in total kWh consumption. The results dramatically exceeded projections. Additional benefits included standardized lighting throughout the facility, increased electrical capacity, motors running cooler.
Static and Dynamic Power Quality Treatments; Cooling System controls and refrigerant lubricant; Lighting upgrade.
